The Third Global Digital Trade Expo opened today in Hangzhou, showcasing cutting-edge digital products from Zhejiang enterprises, local media outlets reported.

Notable innovations include Ant Group's AI housekeeper, NetEase's gaming-like excavator operation, and MR Tech's smart green wave, which enhances road efficiency by about 20 percent. As part of the expo's launch, Zhejiang will recognize 70 outstanding digital businesses, including the above three.

Over the past decade, the number of digital commerce companies in China has surged from 110,000 to over 1 million. A policy document recently released by Zhejiang, which is the first of its kind in the nation, defines local digital businesses as those primarily focused on data as a core operational element. This shift from traditional business to data-driven enterprises marks a significant evolution in Zhejiang's economy.

As Zhejiang nurtures its digital commerce sector, it aims to integrate advanced manufacturing clusters with a robust data services ecosystem. With a projected revenue growth of 24 percent for emerging companies, the province is committed to expanding its digital economy.

The expo serves as a crucial platform for Zhejiang's digital enterprises to gain global recognition, fostering international cooperation and showcasing innovative solutions across various sectors, from AI in healthcare to advanced computing services. As Zhejiang strengthens its digital brand, it positions itself as a leader in the national digital economy, paving the way for sustainable growth and innovation.
