The 5th Zhoushan Cycling Tour took place in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on April 13. Nearly 7,000 cyclists from 18 countries and regions gathered to explore the stunning landscapes of the coastal city.
This year's event included the 103-kilometer group and the 136-kilometer group. With record-breaking participation, the event attracted mainly cyclists in their 30s, with 93.5 percent of participants coming from outside the city.
Cyclists embarked on their journey from the Zhoushan Sports Stadium in the Lincheng New Area, traversing scenic routes like the Zhujiajian Bridge, Luotang Road, and Daqingshan National Park. The ride offered participants both a physical challenge and an immersive experience into the city's breathtaking beauty.

The route was a delight, with Daqingshan National Park's stunning coastal views being a highlight. To enhance the experience, six stations along the route offered refreshments, while a comprehensive service network ensured everyone's safety.
Participants could also enjoy discounts on hotels and free entry to some local attractions.
Zhoushan aims to establish itself as a cycling-friendly city, with plans to expand cycling routes and integrate cycling with tourism and cultural industries.
The city will host over 350 events this year, including international and national competitions, promoting the integrated development of leisure sports and tourism.
