Zhoushan's maritime bureau recently announced measures with six focuses to provide supports for building a "bulk commodity resource allocation hub" within the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
To enhance the high-level openness of the pilot free trade zone, the bureau plans to build bulk commodity storage and transportation bases, make port services more efficient, and promote the international development of the shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment industries.
They also aim to boost the international competitiveness of the marine fuel supply industry by supporting the construction of a global bonded fuel bunkering center, encouraging the adoption of new green marine fuels, and facilitating the efficient flow of marine fuel supply resources.
Efforts will be made to foster a high-quality maritime service supply center by promoting the development of the seafarer service industry, providing regular training for port pilots, enhancing ship inspection services, and expanding maritime services at anchorages.
The bureau will focus on reducing costs, improving the efficiency of maritime logistics, and optimizing the business-friendly environment for shipping trade.
Risk prevention mechanisms in the bulk commodity sector will also be a focus.
