An Airbus H225 helicopter took off from the Lingang New Area in Shanghai and arrived in Shengsi county, Zhoushan, on Nov 29. The flight provided passengers with a pleasant low-altitude flight with views over the magnificent coastline and picturesque islands.
This flight was the first of a low-altitude trial route between Lingang New Area and Shengsi county, that provides a faster option for tourists and residents.
The first flight was operated by an Airbus 11-metric-ton multi-purpose helicopter, which boasts the top cruising speed, range, payload, and versatility in its class, ensuring safer and more stable flights with all-weather flying capabilities.
The start of the low-altitude passenger trial route between Lingang and Shengsi reduces travel time from over two hours down to just 15 minutes. The Shanghai Lingang MRT Transportation Co plans to collaborate with Zhejiang Desheng General Aviation Co to establish a regular low-altitude flight route, offering multiple integrated tourism routes for sightseeing and leisure.
"Next we will begin routes from the Shenjiawan Passenger Transport Terminal to Gouqi Island and Sijiao Island in Shengsi, so that its residents can have daily transportation and emergency medical services," said Huang Yimin, captain of this flight.
