Tourist maps of five charming islands in Zhoushan

The Zhoushan Islands, located off the east coast of China, are home to several charming islands that offer a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and tranquil island life.

Taohua Island, situated in the southeast of the Zhoushan Islands, is renowned as a fairyland of the East. Its natural beauty is complemented by charming rural scenery and a wealth of culture, making it a captivating tourist destination.

At Taohua Island, Tawan Sand Beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, beach walks, various water sports, and fishing. Studio City of The Legend of Condor Heroes is the only island film and television base in China, featuring ancient architecture.

Dongji Island, at the easternmost part of the Zhoushan Islands, spans a land area of 11.7 square kilometers. It boasts unique fishing villages and breathtaking island scenery.

Mayi Island is a small island with a land area of less than 3 square kilometers. It is located opposite Shenjiamen Fishing Port and adjacent to Taohua Island. It is also famous for its shrimp skin processing industry, producing 80 percent of the shrimp skin in the domestic market, earning it the title "Hometown of Shrimp Skin".

Baisha Island, located in the eastern sea area of Putuo district, spans a land area of 2.88 square kilometers. It boasts rich tourism offerings and reef resources, and is particularly famous for its fishing resources, even being recognized as China's first fishing-themed island.

Xiazhi Island is positioned between Liuheng Island and Taohua Island, along a crucial route in the East China Sea. Historically, Xiazhi Island was known for its highly developed fishing industry. Today, it offers a diverse range of attractions, including vast fishing ports, charming fishing villages, and a slow-paced lifestyle.
