This summer, Zhoushan Changqiao Ocean International Tourist Resort in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, delivered an impressive performance, Tide News reported on Sept 4.

Since its opening on June 12, the resort has generated over 250 million yuan ($35.13 million) in revenue and sold more than 22,000 rooms.

The resort offers a range of unique attractions, such as the Pelican Hotel and the "Pillar of the East China Sea" — a 12.8-meter-tall and 4.5-meter-wide cylindrical coral aquarium, the tallest of its kind globally, housing over 500 tropical fish. The hotel also provides over 20 themed rooms, including ocean, rainforest, river, and treehouse experiences.

Additionally, the resort boasts attractions like a sea bath surrounded by sharks, a summer water park where guests can swim with dolphins, an expansive indoor rainforest zoo, and China's largest indoor ocean park — Zhoushan Changqiao Ocean Park.
