A new express line from Zhoushan to Ningbo commenced operations in Zhejiang province on Sept 1, reducing the travel time to approximately one and a half hours.

The newly-launched line operates 39 trips daily, with the first bus departing at 6:20 am and the last at 6:50 pm, running every 25 minutes without any stops along the way.

A total of 46 buses, both large and small, are deployed to accommodate peak and off-peak passenger flows. Zhoushan Xincheng Bus Station features a dedicated waiting area for passengers.

With the integrated development of Ningbo and Zhoushan, the demand for travel between the two cities has been steadily increasing.

Official statistics show that the average daily passenger volume of long-distance passenger transport between the two cities was 1,946 in 2023. This year, that number has already surpassed 2,000, a 3 percent increase.
