A shipment consisting of 572 pieces of drama props weighing a total of 3.16 metric tons was loaded onto a container ship bound for Russia on Aug 23, after Zhoushan Customs completed clearance procedures using the Admission Temporaire-Temporary Admission Carnets.
The Zhejiang Drama Troupe has been invited to participate in the 34th Baltic House Theatre Festival in St Petersburg, Russia, to enhance international cultural and artistic exchanges.
The ATA Carnet system is a temporary admission customs procedure established by the World Customs Organization to facilitate the temporary admission of goods internationally. It aims to standardize and simplify customs procedures for the temporary import and export of goods, promoting international trade, technology, culture, and sports exchanges.
Covering over 80 countries and regions, the ATA Carnet system has become the preferred method for enterprises due to its broad applicability, simple application process, no customs qualification restrictions, and one-year period of validity per application.
To ensure the safe and efficient clearance of these props, Zhoushan Customs guided the enterprise on the proper use of ATA Carnets and assigned dedicated personnel for immediate cargo endorsement.
According to Zhoushan Customs, it will continue to promote the use of ATA Carnets, promptly addressing issues enterprises encounter during the application process.
