Zhoushan in Zhejiang province has launched a campaign to offer rest stops for outdoor workers.

The city now boasts 106 rest stops, all freely accessible to urban management officers, sanitation workers, landscapers, construction workers, delivery personnel, and couriers.

These rest stops offer essential services such as drinking water, dining areas, charging stations, rest areas, and reading materials. Sixty of the stops are equipped with refrigerators, which are set to become operational this month.

A sanitation worker surnamed Zhang highlighted the convenience the rest stops provide. In addition to offering drinking water, the facilities allow workers to heat their homemade lunches, enabling them to enjoy a hot meal.

The rest stops are regularly stocked with drinking water and other heat-relief supplies, ensuring that outdoor workers have free access to these essential resources.
