The 16th Putuo Buddha Tea Conference was held at the Buddha tea plantation in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province on April 18.

A diverse range of tea cultural activities showcased the profound cultural heritage of Putuo Buddha tea, aimed at better preserving tea culture and exploring the integration of the tea industry with the tourism sector, noted a local official.

Tea art performances, musical recitals, flower arrangement art, and more, all combined perfectly to present a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

An investment promotion was also held to promote the Putuo Buddha tea brand and drive a sustainable development.

Putuo Buddha tea was once again honored as a national geographical indication agricultural product in 2023, and its processing techniques have been recognized and included on the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage list.
