Since Jan 18, Dinghai district in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province has held 16 village Spring Festival galas in various cultural auditoriums to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
In addition to the galas, several outdoor fairs were held, featuring a wide variety of local delicacies, such as sausage, duck, and pickles.
Moreover, calligraphy enthusiasts wrote spring couplets and the Chinese character "Fu" (meaning blessing) for locals.
As part of an initiative by Dinghai authorities, students were taught a series of intangible cultural heritage crafts, including calligraphy, paper-cutting, and lantern-making.
Looking ahead, the local government plans to host over 200 activities in February, offering visitors an immersive experience.
