Ningbo Zhoushan Port achieved a remarkable milestone in 2023, handling over 35 million TEU containers, an increase of 5.5 percent year-on-year, securing its position among the top three ports in the world, official statistics show.

This outstanding performance can be attributed to the port's advantageous geographical location, state-of-the-art facilities, and efficient services.

With more than 300 container shipping routes passing through the port, including over 250 international routes and 130 routes associated with the Belt and Road Initiative, the port serves as a vital link, connecting over 600 ports across 200 countries and regions.

Moreover, it boasts over 100 rail-sea intermodal routes, including 25 scheduled trains, which serve 16 provinces and 65 cities. In 2023 alone, its cumulative volume of rail-sea intermodal operations surpassed 1.65 million TEUs.
