Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province published 14 public wellbeing projects at the third session of the eighth Zhoushan People's Congress on Feb 3.
The projects, which will involve housing, education, healthcare, and living environment, are aimed at improving residents' sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security, said local authorities.
The city aims to renovate 17 old residential communities and complete the construction of 2,600 resettlement apartments in 2023.
Zhoushan will build 12 clinics and 10 sports facilities, as well as improve 80 kilometers of water distribution channels and 115 kilometers of roads in its rural areas.
Authorities will build 10 canteens for seniors, set up barrier-free facilities in the city's 50 public venues, and provide jobs to 160 people with disabilities.
The city will build 50 mini fire-fighting stations in densely populated urban areas and remote islands with residential populations exceeding 1,000. It will also establish 300 charging poles in the city's ancient towns and old residential areas.
In addition, Zhoushan will implement a series of measures, including adding nurseries and nurturing 50 transparent food workshops, to improve its nursery services and food safety.
