Held in Daqing Mountain National Park, Zhujiajian scenic spot in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, Spartan Race will begin on Oct 30.
Zhoushan, an island city near the eastern coastal city of Ningbo, became the fourth city in the Yangtze River Delta Area to host a Spartan race, following Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo. Adult and youth races will be held.
The race includes a Spartan Sprint Race, a Kids Race, and a Hurricane Heat. To date, a total of 1,256 people have signed up for the race, including 915 for Kids Race, 330 for Spartan Sprint Race, and 11 for Hurricane Heat.

Different from traditional obstacle race, the four-hour Hurricane Heat is a team race and uses the mode of military exercise. Without guidelines and with different rules at each station, Hurricane Heat is an unknown challenge for participants.
Spartan Race first launched in China in 2016, and has attracted more than 500,000 participants since as the race toured around the nation. Competition sites in the Delta area are most popular because of their geographical features.
Neighboring China's economic and metropolitan hub cities, Zhoushan Islands are China's biggest. They are also one of the world's best fishing ports, and are developing tourism and sports attractions based on the marine economy.
