Fishermen paintings

Fishermen paintings in Zhoushan developed out of paintings originally drawn on walls, mud-made stoves, and boats by fishermen, most of which depict myths, legends, or characters seen in operas.

More than 120 fishermen paintings by Zhoushan natives have been collected by art institutions, including the National Art Museum of China and the Chinese Culture Center in Japan.

This album was published in 2018 and includes 13 representative fisherman's songs from Shengsi, a county in Zhoushan, accompanied with unique visuals of the island.
