Language

Well, I can speak all the things but culture is one of the most important parts in my story. I remember the first days I landed in Zhoushan and tried to speak to the locals at the shops. I was shocked that everyone I encountered was speaking Chinese and rarely little English. Oh it was quite an experience when I remember it, since I also had no idea of Chinese language. I only knew "Ni hao and Xie xie" and when I look back I cannot stop but laughing at myself until now I know some basic oral Chinese phrases and I could at least understand what people are talking about at some point. I was really a novelty during those moments.

Food

I really enjoy a lot of seafood here since Zhoushan is the China's seafood capital and is very rich when it comes to fishery resources.

Tourism resources

In my eyes Zhoushan is a beautiful place for tourism activities because it has a lot of attractions ranging from beaches to mountains, without forgetting Mount Putuo (renowned for being the enlightenment site of Guanyin Bodhisattva-Goddess of Mercy) which is the place I like to visit because it is near and it is a Buddha-Realm between Sea and Sky, and the Sacred ground on the Southern Seas and of course the most famous island scenic spot.
