From Tanzania to Zhoushan, My Zhoushan story. Well, for me, coming to China especially Zhoushan is a dream come true, and in my eyes Zhoushan is my second home, the place with beautiful sceneries, kind people and clean air. I remember getting an admission to study at Zhejiang Ocean University was the happiest day of my life and I told myself that once I land in Zhoushan, China, I am going to make the most of it, enjoy each and single moment I will have with colleagues, friends, teachers and everyone that I will meet even in the streets while walking, and eventually, it happened just like that, and this is what has motivated me to write this story to inspire others and share my own experiences in zhoushan, now let's go.

So on September 7, 2018 I landed at Shanghai airport and the Zhejiang campus school bus came to pick us up. It was an amazing experience for me especially my first day in China. It took us about 4 hours to reach the campus considering it was raining that night and so we arrived at 23:00.

Hospitality of the local people

One of the most wonderful thing which until now I have been captured with is the fact on how the society of Zhoushan are really friendly, kind, and to be honest I have been drawn by this character and through them I have learned what humanity is and especially when you are far away from your home country like me. I am thousands miles away from Tanzania but ever since I came to Zhoushan, I've been feeling being home away from home and I am very proud and happy always to be and live in Zhoushan, you might think that I am bragging about this but this is true. I have experienced it from my teachers in the class, laboratory as well as from my supervisor who has been there to support me on the things that I am going through about my studies and even go further to my outside life while in Zhoushan at Zhejiang Ocean University, without forgetting the places that I have been visiting including Lincheng, Dinghai and Putuo and in all these places I have met several people who cared about my presence, my movements and I am pretty happy for this, it's incredible!
