Wenzhou Zoushu [Photo/zhoushan.cn]

Wengzhou Zoushu is a traditional folk art in Zhoushan Islands. An Axiao, from Zhenhai, Ningbo, is the founder of Wengzhou Zoushu, whose prentice is Wo Mianding, a landmark figure in Wengzhou Zoushu’s history. 

In December, 2001, Selling Wooden Combs, a work of Wengzhou Zoushu, was published in Quyi, a periodical published by Chinese Ballad Singers Association. Ever sicne, Wengzhou Zoushu has become famous across the country. 

In 2007, Wengzhou Zoushu was listed on the second group of provincial intangible cultural heritages.
