A total of eight National People's Congress deputies from Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province arrived in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on March 2, to register for the upcoming national legislative meetings.
They'll travel with the Zhejiang delegation to Beijing on March 3 to attend the third session of the 14th NPC, which opens on March 5.
The Wenzhou delegation includes Zhang Zhenfeng, vice-governor of Zhejiang and Party secretary of Wenzhou; Li Xiaokun, president of Wenzhou Medical University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Hu Chengzhong, chairman of the board of Delixi Group.
In preparation for this year's two sessions, the deputies conducted extensive grassroots fact finding, gathering public opinion on key issues such as private economic development, healthcare and the low-altitude economy. Hu, attending the two sessions for the 18th time since 2003, has brought six proposals focusing on private sector growth.
The deputies have pledged to fulfill their duties diligently, to actively contribute insights and to help ensure the success of the national meetings.
