A new milestone for Yongjia agriculture: 100 kilograms of organic fresh bamboo shoots from Yantan town recently landed in Spain. This marks another step forward for Yongjia in its efforts to bring its high-quality agricultural products to international markets.
Leveraging the strength of its overseas communities, Yongjia has actively promoted local specialties abroad. In July 2022, 200 kg of Dongkui bayberries grown on the mountains of Yunling township made their debut in Portugal, followed by exports to Dubai this year. Similarly, Yongjia's camellia oil reached South Korea in February, marking Wenzhou's first camellia oil export.
On Dec 6, a tasting event featuring Yongjia delicacies was held in Spain, where guests sampled Bilian town's pomelos, highlighting Yongjia's reputation for high-quality produce.
Yongjia is home to over 65,800 overseas Chinese, who play a vital role in bridging local products with global markets. Yongjia Overseas Chinese Federation Secretary General Zhan Miaofang emphasized their role in fostering connections: "This is a great opportunity to promote local products while enhancing ties with overseas communities, giving them a taste of home."
Looking ahead, products like Bilian gardenias and Hutoushan sweet potato dates are being prepared for export, signaling a promising future for Yongjia's agricultural exports.
