The Fifth Wenzhou International Design Biennial is set to open on Nov 9 at the Wenzhou Science and Technology Museum. It will display over 8,000 design works from around the world, offering an artistic array for the public.

The event embraces the themes of cultural heritage, digital wisdom, and green design. It focuses on the Maritime Silk Road and the life of ancient ports, highlighting the unique charm of Wenzhou's culture and emphasizing its cultural openness and cultural confidence.

Designers from countries such as Japan and South Korea will join Chinese design experts for academic exchanges. A dialogue platform will be created between digital technology and traditional culture, exploring the beauty of the integration of marine culture and celadon culture in the era of AI technology.

Additionally, a special exhibition area for Rangsit University will display distinctive works by next-generation Thai designers.

The event will feature a design competition, an exhibition of outstanding works, and design forums, which will integrate competition, exhibition, and academic exchange.

The Wenzhou International Design Biennial began in 2016 and is held every other year. Since its inception, the event's influence has expanded to 30 countries and regions worldwide, attracting over 37,000 entries and more than 400,000 participants.
