Air China's flight CA740 from Seoul landed at Wenzhou Longwan International Airport on Oct 18, marking the arrival of the first South Korean tour group since Air China resumed direct flights between Wenzhou and Seoul.
During their four-day and three-night stay, the 21 tourists will explore famous attractions in Wenzhou such as Yandang Mountain, Jiangxin Islet, and Wuma Street. They will experience the unique beauty of Wenzhou's mountains, rivers, and sea, as well as its rich cultural heritage, according to Wenzhou Guolv Tourism Co.
Wenzhou has become a popular destination for South Korean tourists visiting China in recent years. With direct flights to Seoul, Wenzhou Longwan International Airport, in collaboration with other local authorities, has been planning tour routes for South Korean visitors.
Nearly 2,000 South Korean tourists are expected to visit Wenzhou this winter and next spring, according to Wenzhou Longwan International Airport.
Wu Liang, general manager of Air China Limited Wenzhou Branch, said that the current tour marks a promising beginning, and they plan to provide more tourism offerings including leisure tours and cycling-themed custom tours.
Air China operates flights on the Wenzhou-Seoul passenger route every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since T'way Air resumed its Wenzhou-Seoul flights on Oct 15, the Wenzhou-Seoul passenger route now offers six flights per week.
