According to the Wenzhou municipal bureau of commerce, 769 Wenzhou enterprises participate in the 136th Canton Fair, setting new records for both the number of participating enterprises and booths.
The fair is being held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province from Oct 15 to Nov 4, with an exhibition area covering 1.55 million square meters and 74,000 booths. It has attracted 147,000 pre-registered overseas buyers.
As a crucial channel for China's foreign trade and opening up to the world, the Canton Fair attracts global buyers that give Wenzhou companies new opportunities to expand internationally.
This year, Wenzhou has invited 769 enterprises, with 1,612 booths, including 469 branded booths. Additionally, 116 enterprises have applied for the Canton Fair's quality and specialty enterprise recognition and five for new product launch events.
Throughout the Canton Fair, the Wenzhou municipal bureau of commerce will continue to release information about participating enterprises and product introductions, facilitate buyers to arrange negotiations online, and set up efficient service points for local enterprises.
