The first phrase of the Yueqing Bay Shared Energy Storage Station recently connected to the grid and began operations. This innovative project is expected to increase clean energy consumption by 580 million kilowatt-hours annually and reduce carbon emissions by 321,000 metric tons.

Located offshore in Yueqing's Wengle reclamation area, this is Zhejiang's first tidal flat shared energy storage station, covering an area of about 30 mu (2 hectares).

Utilizing lithium iron phosphate battery technology, the station features 21 energy storage cabinets. This "super power bank" can store 100,000 kWh per charge, enough to meet the daily electricity needs of around 15,000 households. Once fully completed, it will have a storage capacity of 440,000 kWh with 88 cabinets planned.

The station is a key component of the Yueqing Bay diversified energy storage development project. It can release energy during peak loads and store energy during low loads, offering peak shaving, frequency regulation, and black start capabilities.
