Wenzhou is celebrating Cultural and Natural Heritage Day with the opening of the 2024 Yangtze River Delta Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition at Bailuzhou Park from June 6 to 10. This event is a vibrant display of traditional arts, crafts, and flavors.

The exhibition is a cultural mosaic, featuring traditional Chinese wooden arch bridge construction techniques, Yueqing's famed jewelry dragons, and interactive experiences like lacquerware crafting, rice sculpting, and paper-cutting.

Culinary delights such as Wenzhou fish balls, Bowen baked cakes, and Qian Cheng'en wontons are also on offer, alongside captivating performances like tea-pointing and Wenzhou puppet shows.

Marking Cultural and Natural Heritage Day on June 8, the event underscores Wenzhou's commitment to preserving intangible heritage and fostering collaboration across Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang. It aims to share achievements in cultural preservation and energize the cultural and tourism sectors of these regions.

Spanning five days, the event is divided into thematic zones, including the Human Intangible Heritage Zone and the Intangible Heritage Gourmet Zone, showcasing over 50 projects. These zones provide a comprehensive view of the Yangtze River Delta's intangible cultural heritage items, offering a feast that is as much a treat for the eyes as for the palate.
