Wenzhou Customs announced that Petpal Pet Nutrition Technology Co Ltd obtained the Advanced Certification Enterprise Certificate from Hangzhou Customs, making it the first pet food producer in Zhejiang province to attain this esteemed recognition.

This achievement highlights Wenzhou's growing presence in the global market, with 19 companies already holding AEO advanced certification and five more currently undergoing the certification process.

According to Zheng Xianglan, vice president of Petpal, the company received a significant order for dog chew toys from Walmart at the start of the year. Production is now well underway, and shipments are expected to commence this month.

Wenzhou Customs' proactive assistance to local businesses has been instrumental in Petpal's certification journey. Han Song, a Wenzhou Customs official, noted that Petpal's swift application for AEO certification during the outreach campaign highlights the eagerness of local enterprises to embrace international standards.

During the certification process, Wenzhou Customs provided tailored guidance to Petpal, focusing on key areas such as document control, site security, personnel safety, cargo security, and relationships with business partners. This support has not only elevated Petpal's management practices but enhanced the standardization of its subsidiary companies.

With Petpal's exports seeing a 1.6-fold increase in January and February compared to the same period last year, Wenzhou's efforts to facilitate global trade are yielding tangible results.
