In a concerted effort to bolster the local business climate and foster collaborative ties, the Wenzhou Postal Branch, in collaboration with the Ozon platform and the Wenzhou Cross-Border E-commerce Association, recently organized a promotional event for the Ozon platform in Russia.

The event aimed to facilitate economic and trade exchanges between Wenzhou and Russia, empowering more local cross-border e-commerce enterprises to establish a foothold in the Russian market.

As cross-border parcel volumes between China and Russia surge, the Wenzhou Postal Branch has enhanced its cross-border logistics infrastructure. Addressing challenges such as platform docking and logistics transportation, measures like the introduction of the ePacket service to Russia and the formation of an international business team have been taken. Additionally, postage discounts are offered to mitigate cost concerns, making it more convenient for local cross-border e-commerce businesses to break into international markets.

"For us, access to the Russian market was previously limited to platforms like Amazon. However, with the advent of the Ozon platform tailored for local cross-border e-commerce in Russia and the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the ePacket service, we expect to gain a significant competitive advantage," stated the manager of Mowa Technology Co ltd.

"To meet enterprise needs, we are exploring options like provincial charter flights to Russia or utilizing the Yiwu land transport line," explained a representative from the Wenzhou Postal Branch International Division. Presently, airmail to Russia takes seven to 10 days, while land transport averages around 20 days, reducing overall delivery time by three to five days.

To date, the Wenzhou Postal Branch has facilitated the integration of over 140 local cross-border e-commerce enterprises onto the Ozon platform, enabling direct shipment of products to Russia.
