Wenzhou, a city in Zhejiang province, has been actively exploring a new model of smart governance in recent years, with a slew of digital reform projects improving the daily lives of local residents.

One notable practice is a digital platform for villages and residential communities introduced by the civil affairs bureau in Wenzhou. This platform incorporates user-friendly sections on policies, regulations, and popular science education, as well as columns on agricultural techniques, mental health, and more. It also shares information on seasonal specialty products and services and promptly updates residents on medical information and welfare policies.

Official statistics show that the platform now covers all villages and communities in the city, with 900,000 registered residents and over 12 million platform visits.

The digital transformation has also benefited Wenzhou's businesses, fostering local industrial development.

In the intelligent manufacturing digital workshop of CHINT Group, only a few technical workers are present. Most tasks are delegated to automated production lines, as well as intelligent monitoring and operational equipment.

"With the support of the intelligent electrical industry brain, the workshop's comprehensive digital management system has reduced operational costs by more than 30 percent," said the director of production and operations at CHINT.

Founded in 1994, Dongjing Technology, originally a traditional industrial enterprise engaged in the production and sale of paper packaging, has digitally transformed its packaging factory in recent years. This has provided a full-process, digital, and intelligent solution for Dongjing Technology's paper packaging business and related upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.
