"Football is everything to me. My whole life revolves around it, " said Brazilian Eder Silva, who is currently working as a coach for the Wenzhou Ouyan Football Club in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
Silva started learning to play football at the age of nine. He later became a professional player and started his new career as a football coach after retirement. He got his current job after a chance encounter with the staff of the Wenzhou Football Association.
"Silva is a good coach. He is passionate and committed, I'm impressed by his dedication. We are going to work together to develop youth football in Wenzhou," said Wang Qi, vice-chairman of the Wenzhou Football Association. While teaching the children to play football, Silva also tries to teach them about Brazilian football culture.
"When you totally fall in love with football, it will permeate through your life. The self-discipline you have on the football field will show up in your daily life as well." This is what Silva often says to his students. The Brazilian coach, who is kind and professional, has received a lot of praise from the children. Silva enjoys teaching the kids to play football. He says that Wenzhou is great for people who like sports.
