With the Eyewear Cross-border E-commerce Park in Ouhai district, Wenzhou recognized as the city's service provider of the international social media platform TikTok, the park is expected to gain new growth momentum in the future.
The park, covering an area of 21,000 square meters, is the only professional glasses park in Wenzhou. It started to attract investment in February 2018 and is currently home to over 109 online stores on domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms, including many multinational companies.
There are more than 500 eyewear enterprises in the park, employing 60,000 people and forming a complete industrial chain which integrates research and development, design, production, and sales.
It has been awarded honorary titles such as the China Eyewear Production Base and National Professional Demonstration Base of Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading.
Statistics show that in the first half of this year, the park generated sales revenue of 1.4 billion yuan ($207.76 million), a year-on-year increase of 54.37 percent. Last year, the spot supply chains of the park boasted e-commerce sales of 140 million yuan.
