The 2021 China Children's Literature and Cartoon Week, the first event of its kind in China, opened in Rui'an, Wenzhou on Oct 18, local media outlets reported.
The opening ceremony saw the launch of a children's literature creation competition, also the first of its kind in China, a promotional event for excellent children's literature and cartoon works, and the inauguration of a China children's literature and cartoon hall.
Over 20 children's literature and animation production companies attended the event.
The main forum invited experts and industrial insiders to discuss the important role that children's literature and cartoon play in developing children and a strong culture.
Rui'an was chosen as the host city as it has in recent years been focused on improving children friendliness and creating an ideal environment for children's happiness and healthy growth.
