Hu Shoujin subsidized the construction of the Yuhu highway in Wencheng county – administered by Wenzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province – and Qingtian county's Shankou bridge. He has supported the educational undertakings of Wenzhou University, Wenzhou Huaqiao Vocational School and Qingtian county's Zhongshan Middle School and donated money to build a library in Wencheng county.
