Nishinomiya is a city in Hyogo prefecture, Japan, and lies between the two large cities of Osaka and Kobe. Occupying 99.87 square kilometers, the city had a population of about 488,000 in 2016. The sake produced in Nishinomiya enjoys a high reputation in Japan. Nishinomiya is also famous for its unique brewing industry. In addition, the city's fiber, steel, machinery manufacturing and chemical industries are prosperous.
