Burgas, Bulgaria

Located in eastern Bulgaria, by the Black Sea, Burgas is the fourth largest city in the country. Burgas is a famous cultural city with rich educational resources and a well-known tourist center along the southern coast of Bulgaria.

Ranking second among Bulgaria's cities in terms of comprehensive economic strengths, Burgas is an important industrial center mainly involved in petrochemicals, machine manufacturing, food, offshore and pelagic fishery, aquatic product processing, wood processing and textiles.

Agriculture plays an important role in the regional economy. In addition to such conventional food crops as wheat, corn and barley, the city also grows grapes, apples, almonds, cherries and other commercial crops.

Burgas is a traffic hub that connects Bulgaria and Europe and links the Balkan region to the world. Burgas Airport has business contact with more than 60 airports in Europe, Asia and North America. The Port of Burgas undertakes 60 percent of Bulgaria's maritime logistics business.

Suva, Fiji

Located on the southeast coast of the island of Viti Levu, Suva is the capital and largest city in Fiji. Covering about 20 square kilometers, the city had a population of 885,000 in 2017.

Suva's economy is dominated by tourism and light industry. Sugar is the economic kingpin of Fiji, which determines the trade level of the nation. Its industry has gradually reached a good scale after Fiji's independence from the British Commonwealth in 1987. Its factories cover shipbuilding, timber, leather, garments, building materials, food, cigarettes, cement, soap and matchsticks.

Suva has the highest educational level in Fiji. Fiji's institutions of higher education are mainly located in the city, including the renowned University of the South Pacific. Established in 1968, the university covers about 56.7 hectares and is the best educational institution in the South Pacific.

Suva is a traffic hub in the region. Suva Harbor, with its modern facilities, can berth a 50,000-ton vessel. Nausori International Airport caters mainly to the domestic market, connecting Suva with Fiji's other international airport, and serves smaller international aircraft.

Southern Savonia, Finland

Southern Savonia is a region in the south-east of Finland, 220 kilometers northeast of Helsinki, the capital city. It has jurisdiction over 17 municipalities, covers 14,136 square kilometers and had a population of 152,000 in 2013. Southern Savonia has the country's richest forest and water resources and is a high-quality environment for daily life, business and travel.
