An agreement has been signed to build the Lishui Fashionable Synthetic Leather Material Library in Lishui, Zhejiang province, according to Tide News on Oct 17.
The library will feature a comprehensive knowledge base of synthetic leather materials, a business information database, a synthetic leather exhibition hall, and a fashion creativity and commercial product showcase center.
Additionally, it aims to establish an interactive platform for industry resources, a smart trading platform, and a forum for industry exchange.
The Lishui Fashionable Synthetic Leather Materials Library is a collaborative effort between Zhejiang Sci-Tech University's Lishui Fashion Institute and Zhejiang Zaker New Material Technology Co.
The ecological synthetic leather industry is a cornerstone of the Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone, accounting for about 30 percent of the province's total output and 8 percent of the nation’s output in this industry.
The zone accounts for approximately 25 percent of the total national capacity for water-based synthetic leather, making it one of the most resource-concentrated and full-chain synthetic leather production bases in China.
"The Lishui Fashionable Synthetic Leather Materials Library will enable end-to-end production, covering everything from development and design to final product realization," said a representative of the Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone.
