The Haixi Grape Carnival was held in Haixi township, Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on Aug 2.
The carnival commenced with lively music and a variety of performances. Participants engaged in fun games like a "Grape Relay" and "Grape Puzzle", winning gifts while enjoying entertainment.
A significant feature of the carnival was the live-streaming sales activity. Local officials collaborated with local internet celebrities to showcase Haixi grapes' varieties, flavors, cultivation methods, and nutritional value to a national audience, which garnered substantial attention and drove online purchases.
In recent years, Haixi has expanded the scope of its grape cultivation, producing more than 10 premium grape varieties such as the Shine Muscat. The industry's total output value is expected to exceed 5 million yuan ($700,105.32) this year.
The annual Grape Carnival, held for over a decade, has become a signature event for Haixi, attracting tourists interested in grape tasting and rural tourism.
Ji Fangjun, deputy head of Haixi township, highlighted the importance of such events in promoting Haixi grapes, expressing an expectation for the future development of the grape industry through increased awareness and consumer interest.
