Skiing to be possible in Lishui's urban area
The agreement for the Nanming Lake Ice and Snow World project was signed in Lishui, Zhejiang province, on July 5.
Located in Kaitan village, Liandu district, the Ice and Snow World is expected to span an area of approximately 180 mu (12 hectares), with an investment of around 2.5 billion yuan ($343.95 million). It will boast an indoor ice-snow pavilion, a resort hotel, and other essential facilities.
The design of the ice-snow pavilion draws inspiration from Norse Mythology, offering visitors an immersive experience that traces the journey of Vikings' descendants seeking the origins of Norse Mythology.

The venue will feature various areas including a skiing area, a Viking-themed restaurant, a Christmas-style commercial street, and a family amusement park.
The Ice and Snow World is expected to serve as a new landmark of Lishui, establishing a competitive tourism product integrating ice-snow entertainment.
By blending delicacies, entertainment, fashion, and night activities, the project seeks to become a hub for leisure and recreation. It is expected to attract more than 300,000 visits annually, with a direct tourism revenue of around 100 million yuan.
