The 2024 Zhejiang Qingtian Overseas Chinese Dragon Boat Invitational began on Taihe Lake in Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on June 30.

A total of 24 teams from all over the world took part in the event, among which was a team named Yilong from Yemen. The team showed impressive strength in the 200m straight-line race, winning rounds of applause from spectators.

The team's members, primarily involved in trade in Yiwu, shared a passion for Chinese traditional culture. They said that they were participating in the dragon boat event to explore and embrace the charm of traditional dragon boat culture.

There were also overseas Chinese teams from Italy, Spain, and France. The picturesque backdrop of Taihe Lake served as the perfect setting for this global cultural event.
