Rare wild plant discovered in Qingyuan
A resident of Qingyuan county, Lishui, Zhejiang province recently stumbled upon 12 unfamiliar plants while hiking in the mountains.
After consulting with staff members from the Qingyuan natural resources and planning bureau, the plants were identified as the rare wild species Eulophia zollingeri.
Eulophia zollingeri, classified as a national second-level protected wild plant, is a saprophytic plant lacking green leaves and featuring a robust, reddish-brown flower stalks. It typically thrives in sparse forests, bamboo groves, or grassy slopes at altitudes of 400-500 meters.
