Lishui Museum elevated to national first-class status

The Lishui Museum was designated as a national first-class museum on May 18, International Museum Day, placing it among an elite group of 327 museums in China recognized for excellence in management, research, and public services.
Founded in 1984, the museum boasts a collection of over 15,000 artifacts, including 690 high-grade cultural relics. Its exhibits showcase Lishui's rich ecological and historical heritage, with recent renovations adding immersive experiences like a 3D terraced field simulation and ethnic costume trials.
The museum has garnered several honors, including the most innovative museum in Zhejiang province and recognition for its temporary exhibitions. Notably, the Exhibition of Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911) Export Porcelain won the province's Top 10 Excellence Award in 2023.
Committed to cultural education, the museum has developed popular educational programs and a team of over 200 volunteer narrators. It has also ventured into innovative cultural and creative products, establishing the Lishui Museum Cultural and Creative Shop.
With its new status, the Lishui Museum is poised to offer more enriching cultural activities and exhibitions, aspiring to become a beacon of culture and a spiritual haven for the community in the modern era.
