Ten import trading enterprises led by Qingtian Imported Commodity City from Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province recently debuted in the third phase of 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, from May 1 to 5.

In the exhibition hall, a variety of imported goods were displayed, including wines from countries like Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, and Serbia. The products attracted significant attention, with visitors engaging in wine tastings and discussions of potential collaborations.

Among the 10 enterprises, Qingtian Rosarubra Trading Company carefully prepared 19 Italian wines for the fair, including three popular new products, leading to promising discussions with international buyers.

"The Canton Fair is a wonderful open platform that provides us with a new channel to connect with the international market and meet many new customers," said Zhou Junwei, the company's sales director.

Additionally, Spanish ham from Qingtian Qiaoxin Food Company garnered substantial interest. It brought batches of whole ham and 50 grams of packaged sliced ham samples for customers to taste, receiving positive feedback and leading to many inquiries from potential buyers.

The participation of Qingtian enterprises at the Canton Fair underscores the event's role in promoting economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. As of May 4, a total of 246,000 overseas purchasers from 215 countries and regions had attended the fair, growing 24.5 percent year-on-year.
