The Qingtian People's Hospital held a ceremony to inaugurate the 3.0T MRI machine on April 15, marking its full deployment for clinical use, thereby serving a wide range of patients in Qingtian county, Lishui.
"I brought my brother for a liver and gallbladder MRI. Now that Qingtian has such advanced equipment, we no longer need to travel to Lishui or Wenzhou for this. It's much more convenient," said a resident surnamed Chen.
MRI imaging is an indispensable diagnostic tool in clinical practice, providing rich diagnostic and differential diagnostic information. The utilization of this equipment will offer patients more convenient and high-quality examination and treatment services, further reducing the waiting time for appointments and ensuring early detection, diagnosis, and treatment for patients.
According to Chen Weijie, director of Qingtian People's Hospital, with the addition of the new equipment alongside the existing 1.5T MRI machine, the hospital can now accommodate the needs of nearly a hundred patients daily, significantly alleviating the issue of MRI appointment backlog.
Currently, the hospital possesses a range of internationally leading medical equipment, including the GE 3.0T MRI, DSA, Olympus 290 electronic gastroscopy, and Siemens high-end 64-slice spiral CT. Next, the hospital plans to introduce a 256-slice spiral CT scanner in the emergency department.
