More than 100 works brimming with the artistic passion of their creators are on display at the "Contemporary Art Invitation Exhibition," which opened on March 18 at the Art Museum of Lishui in Zhejiang province.
The exhibition features art pieces from more than 40 artists across the country, spanning a diverse range of art forms including oil paintings, watercolors, ink-and-wash paintings, and sculptures.
In their works, these artists, hailing from different generations and professions, present their subjective depictions of daily life, interpretations of traditional themes, and reflections on commonplace occurrences.
"All these elements are encapsulated in the artwork and resonate through it. This is where the significance of the exhibition lies," said Wei Xiuhui, deputy director of the city's culture, radio, television, tourism and sports bureau.
"I hope that through the works presented with sincerity by the artists, visitors can deeply feel the power of beauty and contemplate the cultural and spiritual essence conveyed by these works," added Wei.
The exhibition will run until April 12, providing an opportunity for art enthusiasts to engage with the contemporary art scene and appreciate the diverse artistic expressions on display.
