Liu Qiong, director of the local police station in Qingyuan county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, was honored with the title "National March 8th Red-banner Pacesetter" by the All-China Women's Federation on Mar 3.
Liu is the director of the Baishanzu Police Station in Qingyuan county and the only female police director in Lishui. Her dedication and service to the community have earned her widespread praise.
Over the past 24 years, Liu has always responded to the concerns of locals with patience and sincerity. For example, in order to help a girl with issues related to household registration, Liu contacted multiple departments and even went to the girl's registration place to find her files. After a month, she finally tackled the problem.
Because of the remote location, it is difficult for the elderly to get to the police station. Therefore, Liu has taken targeted measures, such as providing services through video and enlisting Party members to help.
"The honor is not only a motivator for me, but also an inspiration for all of us women. I will strive to live up to the trust people have placed in me and fulfill my duties to the best of my ability," said Liu.
