With the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon approaching, the Taobao Market of the China Stone Carving City in Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, has captured the public's attention with a wide range of products themed around the zodiac dragon.
The market bustles with activity daily as merchants eagerly arrange displays of stone carvings, seals, and sculptures. The crafts feature charming and dynamic dragon elements, with prices ranging from a few hundred to several thousand yuan (100 yuan = $14.02).
Capitalizing on reliable yearly demand for zodiac-themed products, Lin Kaifa, a merchant from Fujian province, said that this year he prepared a dozen dragon-shaped seal stamps for the market.
The market showcases a diverse collection of dragon-themed stone carvings characterized by precision craftsmanship, vibrant colors, and various styles, each possessing commemorative and collection values.
Spanning over 300 square meters, the Taobao Market hosts 70 stone carving merchants, opening regularly on Saturdays and Sundays. It has emerged as the preferred destination for customers seeking exquisite dragon-themed stone carvings.
