The recent opening of the Xifan branch of the Suichang county library in Lishui, Zhejiang province has provided a welcoming space for Xifan village locals to enjoy free reading.

Expressing his satisfaction, Ye Hao, a villager in Xifan, commented, "Not only does it offer a pleasant environment, but also free reading. As long as I have spare time, I will come to read."

Spanning an area of approximately 100 square meters, the new branch library houses over 2,000 books across a variety of genres, including novels, literature, and social sciences, catering to the diverse reading preferences of the community.

In addition to regular services such as on-site reading and book borrowing, the branch library plans to introduce electronic reading, cultural corridors and lecture salons to provide readers with informative and entertaining cultural services.

"The building and opening of the library holds great significance for Xifan," remarked Wu Min, a member of Xifan's Party committee. Wu expressed her belief that reading will lead children in the mountainous area toward a world of knowledge and exploration.

Suichang county library has also opened branch libraries in nine villages, towns, communities, and enterprises, including Beijie town, Jiaotan village, Chengnan community and Zhejiang Rongkai Technology Development Co Ltd. These libraries allow residents to enjoy the pleasure of reading conveniently close to their homes.
