Two enterprises from Lishui, Zhejiang province have been listed among the provincial "front-runners" in integrated operation of domestic and foreign trade by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province.

The two enterprises are Zhejiang Wuyangtang Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, a national high-tech enterprise specializing in Chinese medicine slices and health food, and the UPChem (China) Co Ltd, a high-tech company known for its mastery of advanced phosgenation technology.

Situated in Lishui's economic development zone, both companies have garnered recognition for their exemplary performance in the post-pandemic era. Notably, in 2023, Wutangyang achieved an export volume of ganoderma lucidum extract totaling 160 million yuan ($22.48 million).

The economic development zone has been actively supporting companies in expanding their international and domestic markets. To date, five enterprises in Lishui have been identified as provincial "front-runners" in integrated operation of domestic and foreign trade, with three of them located within the zone.

Looking ahead, the economic development zone remains committed to encouraging companies to shift from a single market focus to a more comprehensive approach. This strategy involves expanding the companies' presence in both international and domestic markets while concurrently enhancing the quality and capacity of their outward-oriented economy.
