Lishui transport system takes measures to counter cold wave
To ensure the safety and efficiency of the transportation system, Lishui has responded swiftly to the cold wave, with efforts focused on road maintenance and anti-icing measures to enhance the emergency response capabilities for ice and snow disasters.
The city's highway, port and road transport management center promptly issued a cold wave alert, implementing various measures to prevent rain, snow, and freezing disasters. Safety inspections were strengthened to promptly deal with any hidden dangers. The monitoring and early warning system for road network operations have been intensified, and communication channels have been enhanced.
The city's transportation law enforcement department has taken action to deploy and implement emergency management measures and strengthened the dynamic monitoring of road conditions in areas prone to natural disasters.
It provided guidance and supervision to water transport companies, port terminal companies, and ferry companies in preventing accidents caused by cold waves and other extreme weather conditions. It asked relevant companies to adjust ship routes and schedules in a timely manner based on weather conditions and implemented necessary suspensions of operations when necessary.
Currently, the city has in place a total of 100 sets of various snow removal equipment and support vehicles, more than 600 tons of snow melting agents, over 2000 cubic meters of anti-skid materials, and more than 500 emergency rescue personnel to ensure they are prepared for emergency situations.
