Lishui museum named provincial culture exchange base

The Photography Museum of Lishui has secured a spot on the fourth batch of designated international cultural exchange bases in Zhejiang province on Dec 12.
Functioning as a cornerstone in the construction of Lishui as an international hub for photographic arts, the Photography Museum of Lishui plays a pivotal role in areas such as promoting outstanding cultural exports from Lishui and expanding international photographic exchanges.
As the first government-established, standardized operational photography museum in China, the Photography Museum of Lishui stands as a crucial linchpin and platform in the municipal government's efforts to transform Lishui into an internationally renowned city for photography.

Facilitating the introduction of top-notch global photographic resources to China and Lishui, the museum has transformed Lishui into a grand stage showcasing international photographic art.
Establishing long-term collaborations with professional institutions and associations from over 50 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, among others, the Photography Museum of Lishui has become a hub for sustained international exchanges.
As of 2023, the museum has curated and exhibited the works of more than 230 Chinese and local Lishui photographers, showcasing them in over 80 exchange events worldwide.
