The 5th Overseas Chinese Import Expo kicked off in Qingtian, a county in Lishui city, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 12, attracting more than 1,600 enterprises from home and abroad.
The four-day expo, which is one of the 10 platforms for Zhejiang to share the benefits of the China International Import Expo, has been held in Qingtian annually since 2018.
Covering an area of 90,000 square meters, this year's expo consists of six major exhibition zones, displaying over 100,000 kinds of imported goods, such as wine, coffee, and daily necessities.
A series of activities were also held at the opening ceremony, including the release of 100 fine wines for 2023, the inauguration of the World Qingtian Hamon Industry Development Center, and the signing of the Qingtian Coffee Industry-Education Integration Talent Cultivation Base.
The expo aims to showcase Lishui's openness and vitality, promote Qingtian's distinctive overseas trade industry, and enhance cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. It also encourages more overseas Chinese to participate in trade and investment in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
